F.D. came to the Literacy Initiative offices unable to read in his native language of Spanish. After diligently working with his tutor for six months, he came to take a post-test, and was score 41 points higher than when he first arrived! He can now read basic books to his two year-old son, and to his newborn! He continues to make progress, and he and his tutor will be speaking about his success soon on ¿Qué Pasa? radio to let other people in the community know that the YMCA Literacy Initiative is available to serve the community.
